FP3 Controller

Modular building-block design combines the performance of a large scale PLC with outstanding flexibility and programming features:

FP3 Controller
  • CPU Module - features fast operating speed of 0.5 microseconds per instruction; program capacity of 10K or 16K steps; 47 basic and 241 high-level, application-specific instruction; 512 I/O points on mother board (expandable to 2048 points with remote I/O); clock/calendar function; RAM, EPROM/RAM, or EEPROM/ EPROM/RAM operation (all RAM is battery backed, EEPROM configuration allows RAM resident programs to be written once and copied many times or stored in EEPROM); and an optional software package to implement PID process control.

  • Power Supply Module - AC type 100 to 240 V; DC type 24 V; ambient temperature range 0° to 55° C; can supply power for external sensors.

  • Mother Boards - (and expansion boards) are available with 3, 5, or 8 slots.

  • Input Modules - DC types with 16,32,or 64 input points for 5VDC or 12 to 24 VDC, response time less than 2 milliseconds; AC types with 8 or 16 input points for 100 to 120 VAC or 200 to 240 VAC, response time less than 30 milliseconds ON time and 15 milliseconds OFF time.

  • Output Modules - relay type with 16 output points, rated 2 amps/point @ 250 VAC, 5 amps per common, response time less than 10 milliseconds; transistor type with 16, 32, or 64 points, rated 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, or 0.5 amps/point @ 24 VDC, 4 amps per common, response time less than 1 millisecond; triac type with 16 output points, rated 0.5 amps/point @ 240 VAC, 2 amps per common, response time less than 1 millisecond.

  • Intelligent I/O Units - A wide selection of intelligent I/O units are available including: four or eight channel analog I/O (1 to 5 volts, 0 to 10 volts, 0 to 20 milliamps, and 4 to 20 milliamps), pulse output, four channel temperature input, single and dual channel high-speed counters (100kcps), one or two axis positioning (400kpps), 8-point interrupt, 16 bit data processing with floating point math, dual port RS232C serial, and network types.
